Using Lotted Inventory Inquiry
1. When you first enter into the lotted Inventory Inquiry option, a Select an Option window appears and displays the following choices: EXIT, BY LOCATION, BY ITEM, BY CUSTOMER, BY LOT, BY ITEM INFO, TOGGLE ZERO.
Choose the method you wish.
- EXIT – Select EXIT to return to the Inventory menu.
- BY LOCATION – Select BY LOCATION to select a location for the inquiry. A Select A Location window will appear:
- Select a location for which inductions and releases for a given item are to be viewed. Scroll to the location and press Enter to confirm your selection or press EXIT to return to the first Select An Option window.
- Enter an item code or for the report. See Entering a Mask for more information.

- BY ITEM – Select BY ITEM to run the report by item. Enter an item code or for the report.

- A Select A Location window will appear: select a single location or ALL LOCATIONS for which inductions and releases for a given item are to be viewed. Scroll to the location(s) and press Enter to confirm your selection or select ALL LOCATIONS to include all locations for the item selected. Press EXIT to return to the first Select An Option window.
- BY CUSTOMER – Select BY CUSTOMER to view inductions and releases for all items for a given customer that has non-owned inventory balances.
Enter the customer ID code for the customer the inquiry is being generated for.

- BY LOT – Select BY LOT to view inductions and releases by lot. A Select A Location window will appear. Select a single location or ALL LOCATIONS. Scroll to the location(s) and press Enter to confirm your selection or press EXIT to return to the first Select An Option window. At the Lot field, enter the lot number or lot . See Entering a Mask for more information.
- BY LOT TEXT– Select BY LOT TEXT to search for inductions and releases by the Item Info Text 6 field. Enter the item info text or item info text . See Entering a Mask for more information.
- TOGGLE ZERO – Select TOGGLE ZERO to change the Include Zero Balance (Y/N) from yes to no and vice versa. If set to Y (Y=yes) the display will include zero balance lot information for lots with an on-hand balance of zero.
2. Command options will appear:
- Releases – Select Releases to view releases of that inventory.
Note: Once the Releases command option has been selected the command option will appear as the Inductions command option to allow the user to toggle between inductions and releases.
- Next Page/Prior Page – Select Next Page to move to the next page, if there is more than one page to the inquiry. Select Prior Page to move back one page.
- Toggle Unit – Select Toggle Unit to toggle between the default stocking unit of measure for the item and pounds.
- Exit – Select Exit to exit and return to the first Select An Option window.
Information about the inventory inductions is first presented on the screen. If the Releases command option is selected, then the Vendor And PO# columns are replaced by the Cust Code and Cust Ord # order number columns.
- Location – The location ID
- Item – The item name
- Customer – If non-owned inventory, the customer ID code of the customer that owes the inventory. For Net•Yield clients' inventory, the customer ID code found in Reserved Options.
- Lot/Status – The lot number and lot status. Lot status includes:
- O – Opened, no transactions against the lot
- P – Pending, transactions have been made for the lot
- Trans Date – The open or received date for inductions, the date of the transaction for releases
- Vendor – The vendor code if applicable - only for inductions
- PO#/Cust Ord # – The purchase order number or internal Net•Yield lot transaction number or the transaction number for releases
- Pounds – The weight for the transaction in pounds. When the Toggle Unit command option is used this column becomes the stocking unit of measure.
Note: The Lotted Inventory Inquiry cannot be printed.
